Keeping in the theme of wearable art, I found this today on Mark Ryden's website. Thought i would pass it along!! He has a big show in Tokyo, Japan soon he has some really trippy wooly yeti looking creatures, very cool indeed!
I just found these beaties on the BLKMRKT web site, I have never noticed Ben Tour's work before. Wow, he has got skils. I love this image, it reminds me of Brian Froud's fairy illustration work in Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book. I also like the square compostion, it's refreshing!
This is a 3/4" thick wood slab cut out carefully with a band saw. This is a very large full-bodied version of his wooden faces. This is the largest one he has ever offered for sale so far. This piece is called Hello Jimmy Mouse. He's a toothy mouse with a nice striped shirt and Hello Jimmy name tag. The stripes on his shirt don't photograph very well but are really deep maroon. Sides are painted white and it's wired and ready to hang. He has sold about 75 cut-out paintings to date with nothing but compliments about them. Here are the specifics - size: 20.5" x 11.5"(including ears/arms/legs) acrylic paint on 3/4" wood slab with figure fully cut-out ready to hang, framing wire already installed on the back. $100.
Here is his bio: My name is Bob Horner I live in Ohio. I paint tons of original cartoony characters. I have a B.F.A degree from The Ohio State University.

Here you go, the latest banger by Josh Keyes. By far one of my favourite artists out there right now! The latest in his series is called 'The Call' The first in the series will be released shortly by David B. Smith Gallery (formerly Limited Addiction). The print will be signed/numbered and are 26 x 20 inches on deckled edge 310 hahnemuhle paper and will be a very generous release of 750 and only $175 each. This will hopefully ensure lots of his fans are satiated, including me i hope!! (i am never able to get through on these damn timed releases)
Any how keep your eyes and ears open and add yourself to the mailing list! Cheers and Good Luck Everyone!!
Here is the latest from Joshua Budich!! 'Vision' is the very first print I ever produced. "The client has agreed to sell the few remaining prints through my web site. So pick yours up before this print goes the way of the dodo." The are a very limited amount left from this original venture and then that will be all. So if you dig his stuff and you dig native art then this is your christmas, cheers!
Here is the first glimpse of the next print in the series of The Morning After by Nick Walker. This print is called Empire State and is being released in conjunction with the upcoming London Art Fair being held in London from January 14-18th. If you are in London check it out!
